30 * 24 cm, oil on canvas, 2018
This is a series of architectural landscapes devoted to Budapest. I was inspired by the graphics of the city — the firewalls and muted spring colors. I named the paintings ‘Orban Urban’ to show the attitude to the time (Orban Victor is a prime minister of Hungary). I always use funny names or game of words to present my works — this is the way I distract myself from being too sincere while discussing the paintings with the viewers. Depicting fire walls, I draw on my love for the most dearest city — St. Petersburg, which architecture is also full of fire walls and dull pastel colors. The series was exhibited in Budapest, Nyul Galeria, April 2018, Brody Sandor 16.
