acril on canvas on cardboard

I used to live in Bali for 5 months. While living in Ubud village, I have been making sketches for my future paintings.

This scene is very common in Bali, because the locals are very religious and do ceremonies every day. The simplest one is bringing small palm-leave baskets with flowers, a cigarette and a sweet to spirits and scent sticks to 3 gods — Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva's small temples, which can be easily found in every house. On the background here you can see a traditional big Temple with a beautiful entrance though . All women wear sarongs instead of skirts — a piece of fabric with a traditional picturesque bright pattern.
